Stolen Corvette Engine Cover Winds Up on Craigslist? [CORVETTE]
Former Autobuffs Owner finds swiped custom painted piece for sale on popular sale site
John Piper, who’s stunning Corvette was featured here on Corvette Mafia recently, came across a Craigslist ad offering for sale a custom painted Corvette engine cover that looked exactly like the one that was swiped from him at the Strictly Corvettes Show in Atlantic City sometime in early May of this year. The cover was made for a customer of John’s and he had to put out the expense of making another one to replace the pilfered cover. Thanks to possibly some amateur detective work by a Digital Corvettes member, the alleged thief, Chris Declet has a face book page, link is HERE. John contacted the poster of the item on Craigslist and coincidentally the posting has now been removed by its author and the seller has not returned John’s phone calls. More then likely the alleged thief may try to sell the item again in another venue. If you are in the South Jersey area and see this engine cover for sale please contact John immediately at 856-776-3079.

Corvette Forum Vs. Digital Corvettes and Tuner Chuck Cow [CORVETTE]
Corvette forum wars heat up over defense of tuner
Looks like we got ourselves a good ole fashioned backyard brawl happening between two of the major Corvette forums, CF and DC. At issue is the validity of a post first put up on DC in regards to a claim that tuner Chuck Cow’s tune was responsible for the destruction of a DC members C6 engine, link is HERE. Several posts that were made in regards to the matter were closed quickly at CF, with many leveling claims of censorship and protection of vendors at CF, however this thread seems to still be alive and is getting touchy to say the least, link is HERE. We have previously snet email requests to Chuck Cow and the DC memeber for onterviews but neither have replied as of yet. These two Corvette forums like to tout how many thousands of members they have, but they never address the issue of how many members they are losing to other more welcoming Corvette forums such as Corvette Guru, The Vette Barn and Smokin Vette, all of which we enthusiastically endorse.
